About our Nursery

Busy Bees nursery at Chandlers Ford is a two storey, purpose built building with fantastic facilities.

The nursery is situated in a quiet, rural area of Hampshire. It is very close to local amenities, close to motorway links and is only 10 minutes away from the train station.

The Chandlers Ford nursery have qualified, dedicated and experienced staff and management operating with a key worker system. Our objective is to provide quality care for every child in a safe, secure and fun environment, meeting every child's individual needs.

Our childcare approach, which includes building a close and trusting partnership with our parents, is vitally important to us

The nursery has CCTV and an electronic access system - Parents have their own key fobs to access the foyer and are then greeted by a member of staff to access the nursery.

Our fully equipped kitchen on site with trained cook provides specially prepared, delicious meals and snacks for all ages.

Our facilities include:

• Large, fully equipped Base Rooms designed specifically
  for Babies, Toddlers, and preschoolers.
• CCTV and Secure Access system for your peace of mind.
• Each room has their own Base Room Manager who plans
  and co-ordinates the children’s activities throughout the day.
• Sensory Room to help calm and encourage children’s senses.
• Safe and secure individual outdoor play areas with special
  garden areas for children to grow their own plants.

The Baby Unit

We have brightly coloured, spacious baby unit with that home from home feel.

The Chandlers Ford baby unit is run by a friendly, calm and experienced Base Room Manager with sound knowledge of the Birth to Three frame work, behaviour management and experience with the under 3's. She leads a strong stable team with a wealth of knowledge and experience.

The baby unit includes:

• An individual room for the smaller non mobile babies where babies stick to their own individual routines they have established at home
• A focus play room with activity areas, ball pool and cosy corner
• Imaginative play room with sensory area to enhance their sensory development
• Messy room for all those messy activities including sand, water, painting, gluing and of course not forgetting mealtimes
• A separate sleep room enables the children to recharge their batteries away from the hustle and bustle of activities
• A Milk Kitchen to store bottles
  
• Daily access to our garden

 

The Toddler Unit

Toddlers are managed by a dedicated Base Room Manager with 6 years experience and sound knowledge of the Toddler age including the Birth to Three Frame work. She leads a committed team with lots of ideas and inspiration.

The toddler unit at Chandlers Ford nursery consists of four brightly coloured, well equipped rooms to maximise their learning potential.

The toddler unit includes:

• A focus playroom with areas for construction puzzles, games and a book corner for those quieter activities
• An imaginative play room is well equipped with everything to develop your child’s imagination from role play, to dressing up, to small world play and a computer to inspire them more
• Their soft playroom contains all that is needed to burn of that extra energy and develop their physical skills come rain or shine! This room also converts into their sleep room for that well deserved lunchtime rest
• Messy play can be maximised in their separate messy area where they have sand, water and paint available all the time as well as different creative and tactile activities
• Daily access to the garden morning and afternoon

 

The Pre School Unit

Pre school is managed by our highly experienced Deputy Manager with a sound knowledge of all ages including both curriculums. She leads a friendly, caring, stable team at Chandlers Ford with a range pre school experience.

Preschool is a large, spacious unit with well defined areas to enhance all areas of continuous provision.

Preschool includes:

• Language and literacy area equipped with computers, mark making area, self display board to display their own masterpieces and interest table
• Small world and construction area is well resourced with storage down at the children’s level to maximise their independence
• Book corner equipped with books, story sacks and puppets, as well as being spacious for those quiet group activities and singing sessions
  
• The Maths area has a rang of equipment to enhance their maths skills
  
• A separate role play room enable them to have a home corner area as well as an area they can change each term to fit in with their themes
  
• Messy play can be maximised in their separate messy area where they have sand, water and paint available as well as different creative and tactile activities. It also includes their science area where they can explore and discover
  
• Daily access to our garden

Monday - Friday 8:00am to 6:00pm

Annual Holidays

The nursery is open 52 weeks per year, but is closed on national bank holidays.

At Chandlers Ford Busy Bees Nursery we offer French, Ballet, Tap and a Music and Movement work shop.

OFSTED

Our Day nursery facilities are registered with the Department of Education and Employment DfES) to accept grants for Early Years education for children aged three and four and activities are geared to meet the requirements of Ofsted incorporating the Early Learning Goals.

Activities also take into consideration all aspects of the National Curriculum Key Stage One.

Children are given every opportunity to make their own choices with encouragement and help from staff and parents.
