About our Nursery

Busy Bees at Brooke Street opened in 2000 and was a ‘new build’ project, specifically designed with childcare in mind. It serves a growing demand for quality childcare in the area. It is close to the main shopping centre, the station and situated just off the inner ring road, ideally situated for both local parents and commuters to Preston and Manchester.

The nursery has a warm, friendly atmosphere from the reception area through to the classrooms and our welcoming staff. Each room is age-appropriate, and personalised with children’s pictures and activities on display. Our facilities include meeting rooms, a baby unit, large classrooms and a gym - fully equipped with a climbing frame, ball pool, and soft play to enhance physical development. The nursery has acres of outdoor space including two secure play areas with a variety of outdoor equipment, landscaped gardens and an extensive parking area. The nursery has a security system in place when entering the building.

The nursery plans activities based upon the ‘Birth to Three Matters’ framework and the ‘Foundation Stage’ curriculum, also working closely with the local Early Years Team. Parent partnerships are important to us, we therefore hold parent’s evenings to give you the opportunity to speak to your child’s key worker about their development, and view their work. We also regularly hold a parent’s forum.

As with all of our nurseries, Busy Bees at Brooke Street offers a wide range of services including Out of School Care. The new Out of School Centre opened in September 2003 due to demand, and serves many of the local schools.
