About our Nursery

Busy Bees at Hartham Park is ideally situated in the quiet, leafy surroundings of Hartham Common, near to Hertford Town centre. We are in close proximity to Hertford East and Hertford North train stations. We are fortunate in our location to have a access to the park, and in summer the children can take regular visits to the stream to feed the ducks and swans.

The nursery building has been converted, and expertly designed to meet the needs of the children, with six bright, spacious rooms catering for children from 3 months to 5 years. Each room is equipped with age appropriate toys and activities. Some of the activities include finger painting, water play, pasta and jelly play and sand play.

Our large garden is spacious and welcoming. The children can play on the climbing frames, scooters and bicycles, with balls and hoops, and in the Wendy house where children can play in our outdoor café, interacting with staff and other children.

The grassy area is a great place for children to take part in ‘circle time’, and have outdoor picnics in the summer. We also have a special garden where children can plant flowers, vegetables and herbs, look after them and watch them grow throughout the year.

A sensory garden has recently been introduced and a physical area to help develop their physical skills.

Our smaller toddler garden enables the younger children to enjoy the outdoors, and play with toys and soft play. In the summer months we have tea parties and picnics outdoors, as we have gazebos in each of our gardens.

Throughout the year numerous charity events are held for children and parents to participate in, including balloon launches, fancy dress, sponsored toddles, and cake sales. Events such as fun days, parents evening and ladies night give parents the opportunity to meet other parents and staff.

Busy Bees at Hartham Park also offers activities such as Jo Jingles, French lessons for our older children, and Stretch and Grow exercise sessions, incorporating singing and dancing, for our younger groups.

A very high standard of care is provided, and maintained through all Busy Bees Nurseries, and we are dedicated to providing a fun, stimulating environment and a balance of care and education, for children in our care.
