About our Nursery

Busy Bees at James Paget is a newly designed, purpose built day nursery catering for children aged 3 months to 5 years, and is managed by Busy Bees. The nursery is situated in the grounds of the James Paget Hospital in Gorleston and is open to NHS employees and the general public.

The nursery is registered to receive funding for three and four year olds and is open Monday to Friday (except bank holidays) from 7.00am to 6.30pm.

There is a large enclosed outside play area, which includes a playground, soft play area and a grassed area, with a wide variety of outdoor toys and equipment. The children are given the opportunity to experience both structured and free play situations in order to promote their all round development and individual inquisitiveness for learning.

Our aim is to provide a relaxed, friendly atmosphere in which the children are able to form relationships and offer a variety of experiences that will contribute to overall development of the individual child.

OFSTED

Our Day nursery facilities are registered with the Department of Education and Employment DfES) to accept grants for Early Years education for children aged three and four and activities are geared to meet the requirements of Ofsted incorporating the Early Learning Goals.

Activities also take into consideration all aspects of the National Curriculum Key Stage One.

Children are given every opportunity to make their own choices with encouragement and help from staff and parents.
