About our Nursery
Busy Bees at Bamber Bridge is situated in a large two-storey building positioned within its own private grounds. It was originally converted from a former primary school in 1992, which won a Civic Trust award for a sympathetic conversion of the building.
Children are accommodated within spacious, bright rooms in small groups. The nursery features a sensory room to help children explore a range of senses and to share them with others, a creative room, and a library.
There are large, secure outdoor play facilities with soft pore surfaces and a wide range of outdoor play equipment to develop physical skills.
All of our meals and snacks provided throughout the day are freshly prepared on site by our own chef. The nursery offers an organic menu, and for those children with dietary requirements such as gluten or wheat intolerance. The nursery provides a full range of facilities including before and after school care together with shuttle transport in our own vehicles to and from local schools. The building offers separate facilities for all ages from babies through to school age.

Activities Noticeboard
At Busy Bees, we value you as your child's prime educator and aim to become active partners with you in your child's continuing process of education.
As you know, young children are active and eager to learn and delight in discovering their world. Both the content of what children learn and the way in which learning takes place and is experienced by a child is important.
We emphasise first-hand experiences and view play and talk as powerful mediums through which children learn and develop. Our team of skilled and knowledgeable staff hold high expectations of all children. We build on your child's interests, abilities and earlier experiences by sensitive intervention and involvement.
Our curriculum is broad, balanced and relevant to all children. It is appropriate to their social, emotional, physical, intellectual and spiritual development and incorporates all government guidelines.
As a team, we regularly monitor, review and evaluate our work in order to maintain and achieve high standards. By continually observing children, we are able to base our plans around their individual needs.
OFSTED
Our Day nursery facilities are registered with the Department of Education and Employment DfES) to accept grants for Early Years education for children aged three and four and activities are geared to meet the requirements of Ofsted incorporating the Early Learning Goals.
Activities also take into consideration all aspects of the National Curriculum Key Stage One.
Children are given every opportunity to make their own choices with encouragement and help from staff and parents.
