About our Nursery
The nursery is situated next to the local shopping precinct and Colney Fields Retail Park is a 5 minute drive away.
At Busy Bees in Shenley, you will find a purpose built, single storey nursery with fantastic facilities. Our facilities include:
- Large, fully equipped Base Rooms designed specifically
for babies, toddlers and preschoolers. - CCTV and Secure Access system for your peace of mind.
- Each room has their own Base Room Manager who plans
and co-ordinates the children’s activities throughout
the day.
- Individual outdoor play areas with special garden areas
for children to grow their own plants.

The nursery has CCTV and a Secure Access system - Parents have their own key fobs to access the foyer and are then greeted by a member of staff to access the nursery. All areas of the nursery are secured from external areas by fencing.
Dedicated Staff
We have qualified, dedicated and experienced staff and management operating with a key worker system that helps to build personal relationships with children and parents.
The best care and education
At Busy Bees we apply birth to three and foundation stage to ensure the best possible development for children of all ages as well as various other initiatives such a birth to five portfolio which provides a lasting record of children's time at Shenley Nursery.
Delicious Food
Our fully equipped kitchen on site with trained cook provides specially prepared, home made delicious meals and snacks for all ages. We also accommodate children with special dietary requirements.

Activities Noticeboard
At Shenley Nursery, we offer Tiny Mites session on Monday mornings to all children in nursery. This is a music and movement class.
OFSTED
Our Day nursery facilities are registered with the Department of Education and Employment DfES) to accept grants for Early Years education for children aged three and four and activities are geared to meet the requirements of Ofsted incorporating the Early Learning Goals.
Activities also take into consideration all aspects of the National Curriculum Key Stage One.
Children are given every opportunity to make their own choices with encouragement and help from staff and parents.
