Your child will come on leaps and bounds during their stay at our Busy Bees nursery in Formby, as they prepare for the next steps in their educational journey. 

Welcoming children from babies through to preschoolers, your child will be provided with endless opportunities to learn, flourish and thrive.With heaps of age-appropriate activities and learning resources available throughout the warm and welcoming rooms, your child can develop at their own pace and have fun with those of a similar stage.  

Your child's mind and body will stay stimulated with something different every day as the enthusiastic team carefully curate a wide range of activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. Our parent room is a dedicated safe space for us to get to know your family and you to speak in confidence with our nursery team about your child's nursery life.

Smart Board
Our Interactive Smart Board is used daily to bring learning to life and provides children with a hands-on approach with technology.

Funded Childcare
We offer government funded places for children aged 3 to 4 years, please speak to the Centre Director for more information.

Teacher
We have a fully qualified Teacher in our pre-school room who delivers exciting learning opportunities, whilst ensuring statutory and legal welfare requirements are met for every child.

Foundation Class
The foundation class nurtures each child's natural curiosity within a structured framework providing pre-school children with an early introduction to school life.

ParentZone
We keep families informed through ParentZone, an online learning journal platform, which can be accessed via a smartphone app.

UP
Exclusive to Busy Bees, UP is a learning and development app used by educators in our nursery and parents at home. Search ‘UP by Busy Bees’ on the app store to find out more.

We offer online booking for extra ad-hoc sessions at this nursery with Pebble.

Food at Busy Bees in Formby

At Busy Bees, we understand the importance of promoting healthy eating habits early on in life. That’s why we ensure all the food and drink we serve is nutritionally balanced. 

During your child’s typical day at our Formby nursery, they’ll enjoy regular meals and refreshments from our NHS Startwell-accredited menu. 

There’s nothing extra to pay for this – it’s all included in your nursery fees. Everything is freshly prepared on the day by our talented on-site nursery chef. And if your child has any specific dietary requirements, don’t worry – we can account for their needs. Speak to your Centre Director for more information.

Fresh fruit with a selection of cereal or porridge. 

Morning Snack  

Fresh fruit with wholemeal toast or baked goods, served with a cup of milk or water.

Did you know Busy Bees also offers government-funded childcare? If eligible, you could be entitled to up to 570 or 1140 hours of funded childcare, depending on your eligibility and your child's age, each year for your child. Preparing for School

In order to best prepare the children for the next big chapter of their lives, Busy Bees do all that they can to support and celebrate the transition. All of the planned activities and experiences which take place within our Busy Bees Nursery in Formby are designed to provide a foundation of skills that will help them grow in becoming confident and capable learners.

Busy Bees Nursery Formby Location

Located in the heart of Formby town centre, you will find our nursery on Elson Road.  

With excellent public transport links, we are in the ideal location for those commuting, with Formby train station just a 7-minute walk from the nursery.  

There is also a bus stop nearby on Queens Road serving route 759 and on Sefton Road, serving routes 44, 759 and F3.  

When you arrive, you can leave any prams or pushchairs in our secure buggy store. This means you can focus on making the most of your visit with peace of mind.
