Meet the Team

Gloria Gower

Nursery Manager

I am the Nursery Manager, my name is Gloria Gower and I qualified as an NNEB in 1985. I worked within Education for the first 7 years of my career and then progressed to become Senior Nursery Nurse and subsequently Deputy Manager of a Day Care setting before my appointment here.

I have been here at Wonderland since the nursery first opened its doors in 1995 and have seen many changes over the years. I was appointed as manager when the building was still residential and in the process of being converted into a nursery, so my role here was very hands on from the beginning, shaping the building into the wonderful nursery it has become today.

My aim for the future is to continue to lead Wonderland forward, maintaining our exceptional standard of care and providing the enthusiasm to promote new and exciting ideas for our children.

My home life is precious to me and I enjoy spending quality time with family and friends, walking my dog and having my grandchildren with me. I also have a passion for cooking, so watch this space, you may just see me on Come Dine With Me soon…….

Parent Partnership Group

Parent Representatives for Busy Bees at Childwall, Liverpool

Carole Doherty

Hello! I am looking forward to the next meeting of the Parent Forum - I think it is a good way of getting to meet other parents (the morning drop off is such a rush I don't get the chance then!) I work with Foundation Stage children at local primary school and will admit to borrowing few ideas from nursery for my own teaching! I hope I can be of some use in sharing ideas with staff about future projects and hope to meet more busy parents soon.

"My twin girls, Katie and Holly are currently in the big room here at Wonderland. I have two other daughters, one of whom attended Wonderland until July 2011. She loved it and still talks about her friends and the staff there, so she was delighted to come to the"
