The nursery is a purpose built, single storey building situated on a Meridian Leisure Park. It is very close to Thorpe Astley Housing Estate and Meridian Business Park and is ideally located for the M1 corridor.
Our Manager, Michaela, has been at the nursery since it opened in November 2001. Since qualifying with her NNEB certificate, Michaela has carried on with her career qualifications and has her Teaching Certificate in Adult Education.
Michaela has lectured NVQ Level 2 & 3 students at Leicester College. She is a parent herself and feels she not only has childcare practical experience but also parental experience too.
Michaela's next target is to start her degree course in Early Years Foundation Stage at Loughborough College.

To ensure we are providing well balanced, nutritious meals to our children, the Busy Bees catering team worked alongside Michelin-starred chef, Phil Vickery, and a child nutritionist to create a brand new range of delicious recipes to use, as part of the nurseries' day to day menus.

Our nursery has a fully equipped kitchen where all meals are prepared and cooked using only the freshest produce - including fresh fruit and vegetables every day.
Each meal is carefully planned to meet each child's individual needs and to cater for any special dietary requirements.
Julie, our full time Nursery Cook has worked at the nursery since May 2003. She prepares freshly cooked meals every day for all of the children and can cater for vegetarians and any allergy related meals.
Julie undertook a refresher in her Basic Food Hygiene in August 2009 and on a recent visit from the local Environmental Health Office (EHO) we scored the maximum 3 gold stars for Leicestershire.
Julie is happy to meet with parents and discuss any specific dietry requirements you may have for your child.
