Busy Bees at Leicester Meridian is a purpose built, single storey building situated on a Meridian Leisure Park. It is very close to Thorpe Astley Housing Estate and Meridian Business Park and is ideally located for the M1 corridor.

We have a long serving, passionate and dedicated staff team, who provide fun, safe childcare to each and every child who attends our nursery.

We continue to invest in our staff team, providing training opportunities for all of our early year educators and also catering staff. Currently out of our staff team of 25 – 18 are at qualified NVQ level 3, 4 are working towards there level 3. We also have 2 senior room managers who are studying their NVQ level 4.

We believe in treating all children as individuals and letting them have their own voice – so they can express themselves, self-select independently and follow their own learning journey while at Leicester Meridian.

Each day our nursery provides fresh home cooked meals and snacks. We cater for children with dietary requirements due to religion, allergy related or vegetarian. We continue to hold the maximum 5 star certificate rating for food hygiene issued by environmental health in December 2011. Recently we acquired our bronze award from the Soil association.

New to our nursery is a Parent partnership group, we aim to meet twice per year. The idea of the group is to continue our excellent partnership with parents and carers, which was recognised by Ofsted, who rated us at outstanding within this area. Our members of the parent partnership are available by email to provide support to new parents or answer any questions parents may have when they first join our nursery.

We were rated “Good” in our Ofsted inspection with areas of outstanding for our effectiveness of partnerships and the effectiveness of the setting’s engagement with parents and carers.
