Why choose Leapfrog in Morden: -
Leapfrog Day Nursery in Morden is a conversion building consisting of two semi detached houses with a very homely feel and cosy and welcoming rooms that has been established in the area for 14 years. We are within walking distance of Morden Underground Station, Morden South and South Merton over ground stations. We also are very lucky to have bus routes that serve us making the nursery easily accessible to you, those being the 163, 164, 93, 157, 154, 118, 413, 80 and the 470 to name but a few!
As mentioned in our Ofsted Report from July 2011 we provide care of a very high quality and were found to be Outstanding in two areas during the inspection day. We have a very strong staff team here at Morden, some that have been here almost as long as the nursery. Our staff are both passionate and enthusiastic about the experiences they offer the children within our care. We have approximately 98% of our staff team qualified along with a member of staff with a BA Honours in Childcare and Education. As a nursery we encourage our staff to constantly update their knowledge and skills so we often attend training provided by Busy Bees and the Local Authority, the training we undertake is both varied and beneficial to the children, parents and the staff team.
As a company Busy Bees hold the Bronze Award for the Food for Life Catering Mark. In terms of the food provided at Morden we have a very talented kitchen team consisting of Ann, our Head Chef, and Alina, our Kitchen Assistant, who provide the children with very tasty and nutritious meals that are freshly prepared each day and ingredients are sourced locally. Our menus are varied and we are able to cater for individual dietary requirements. We are also very proud of our 5 stars for the Environmental Health Inspection which is the highest grade you can get.
We have two outdoor areas, one for the under 3’s and one for the over 3’s, we are always looking at the provisions we offer in order to allow the children to have the extended learning experience in the outside areas. We encourage the children to make choices whilst promoting equal opportunities in order for the children to develop in all areas. We have many initiatives here at the nursery including; Sign and Learn, Busy Babies, Wake and Shake and Arsenal Soccer School sessions, all promote the children’s development and are enjoyable for them too!
We work very closely with our Early Years Advisors in Merton along with creating links with our local primary schools to aid the transition from nursery to ‘Big School’ which can be quite daunting for both the child and the parent. As a setting we have a Parent Partnership Group that involves two or more parents from each age group that meet with the manager quarterly to discuss how the nursery is getting on, whether things need to be looked at or improved on and recommendations from the Local Authority and how they will affect the nursery. These parents are also there for the new prospective parents as a support for them.
So all that is left is for you to book a visit to come and see us. We look forward to meeting you all!!

Louise Umpelby
I have 11 years’ experience working in childcare, 8 of which have been in a senior role. I have been with Busy Bees for nearly 7 years and transferred from our Thames Ditton Nursery in April 2013.
I have predominately worked in Private day nurseries but covered a variety of other areas during my training. I hold my DCE in Childcare and Education and also hold my NVQ 4.
I thoroughly enjoy working for Busy Bees and am very dedicated in my role in providing high quality childcare. I am passionate about children’s early years and their learning journeys.
I have a child of my own and he is almost four years old and has been attending Busy Bees since he was 6 months. He thoroughly enjoys attending nursery but will be sad to be leaving to attend school.
