The Buttercup's children were putting their fine motor skills to the test today. Jaz set up the water tray with some little fishing nets and balls, the children were given the simple task to scoop up the balls. However, it looks much easier than it is! Especially when the balls and nets are different sized! The children did really well at scooping and catching they problem solving skills to get the balls in the net. Some of the children were changing their method and used their other hand to place the ball in the net, others were holding the ball in the water and a couple of children would then test another ball. Through out the activity Jaz spoke to the children and encouraged lots of language- there were a few "Oh No" from the children when the balls fell out but mostly Jaz got lots of "Yaaay" from them.
