Banana Crazy
Lets get cooking...
What a busy day we have had in 2-3's today...we have been little bakers and made some delicious banana muffins.
The children have been talking about different fruit so we decided to make something yummy to take home with us.
The children rolled up their sleeves, washed their hands and got ready to bake.
We looked at all the ingredients and spoke about what they were and then got to work.
First of all we measured out the butter and Noah said "It's very hard scooping the butter." "There is butter and sugar in the bowl." Noah said that he cooks at home and makes cupcakes.
We added the eggs, flour, banana and mixed spice and stirred it altogether. "Squishy" Charis said as she mashed the banana. Sophia said "Please may I have a turn?" Charis passed the bowl to Sophia so she could have a stir.
Lewis and Jaz sand a crazy banana song and we all joined in signing. Sophia and Bronwyn sand along "Mash banana."
When they were in the cupcake cases we gave them to Amy and she baked them in the oven for us.
The nursery smelt delicious of banana muffins and all the children have one to take home with a copy of the recipe so they can make them at home.
