On the very night that the Gunpowder Plot was foiled, on November 5th, 1605,bonfires were set alight to celebrate the safety of the King. Since then, November 5th has become known as Bonfire Night. The event is commemorated every year with fireworks and burning effigies of Guy Fawkes on a bonfire.
The Children made fire work pictures using bright coloured paint, they painted on the the rim of a kitchen roll, and experimented with the colours to print some beautiful firework pictures.
The baby room done a group activity with the Babies to explore the colour black. The Babies got messy and had lots of fun in the paint.
Pre-school had discussions about fireworks and the importance of being safe on firework evening.
