Our Pre -School committee have been very busy over the last two weeks thinking about and implementing new changes for the new year.
The committee decided that they would like a new Pre-School pet. The children made banners and posters and involved the parents in whittling down the options and voting for their favourite animal. The children counted all the 'pom poms' in the jars and enjoyed telling the rest of their friends that the winner was a hamster.
The children and parents then had to vote for a name for their new pet.
We are delighted to welcome Ralph the hamster to Busy Bees in Rushmere.
This week the children have been learning how to look after and care for Ralph. They have asked some very interesting questions from "Why has Ralph not got long hair like me?" to "Why does he sleep all day?" This has lead to some fantastic research into animal habits and behaviours.
Ralph is really looking forward to having a sleepover with some of our Pre-School children, so watch this space for Ralph's Amazing Adventures.
