Here at Busy Bees, we held our second Busy Bees Bake Off of the year today, this one having a Christmas Theme. We wish to thank all of those who joined in. All entries were very yummy and ranged from biscuits to muffins to cheesecake and celebration cakes. The competition was opened up to all parents, staff and children, to encourage parents to embrace cooking activitiess at home. The competition was judged by our Head Chef, Rebecca, Business Manager, Emma and a Guest Judge from West Suffolk Hospital, Jan Bloomfield (Executive Director of Workforce & Communications). After the very difficult task of tasting all of the cakes (he he), the Judges decided on 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners.
Third Place was awarded to Liz with her beautifully decorated Rudolf Cake.
Second Place was awarded to Owen (aged 2) with his selection of Christmas cakes.
First Place was awarded to Kayleigh and Sarah with their joint contribution of their Christmas Igloo Cake, detailed with snow and penguin figures.
The cakes were all put out for parents to see, giving them the opportunity to buy some of the yummy creations with all donations going to charity.
Once again, many thanks to all of those who participated.
Watch this space for the next Busy Bees Bake Off and other Competitions in 2017.
