Busy Bees Wootton Fields enjoying the sunshine

Busy Bees Wootton Fields Enjoying the Sunshine!

On Thursday 25th and Friday 26th May Busy Bees Wootton Fields spent the days enjoying the summer sunshine in our gardens.

Poppies & Violets tried to stay in the shade however still got to enjoy splashing in a water tray, playing football and building in the sand. Poppies & Violets maybe to young to understand why they need to wear a hat and suncream, however we do encourage them to help rub in the lotion.

Sunflowers & Sweetpeas spoke about how we should stay safe in the sunshine by wearing our hats, suncream and also by having lots of water to drink. Incorporated into our play on Friday we got to play with ice, played with bubbles and we even got to run through a sprinkler!! We have the sprinkler waiting on standby for the next hot sunny day to arrive.

"We need to keep our hats on because it is 3 degrees outside, so it is HOT!"

"I love playing in the sprinkler and look I am dry already"

Ready for our June dates of the month calendar, we have added a Safety Week – during this week will take the opportunity to talk to the Sunflowers and Sweetpeas more about safety in the sun and see if they can think of any ideas to stay cool.
