The Children and Staff of Busy Bees Apsley have been celebrating the Queens birthday with these amazing royal themed activities.
Babies got messy with a red, white and blue painted tuff spot activity. Staff created a Union Jack style flag in the tray and the babies used their fingers and toes alongside different resources around the room to explore the paint, alongside making our own crowns and being royalty for the day.
Toddlers explored measurements and cause and effect with a colour themed playdough activity. using scales to measure out the different ingredients used to create the playdough and predicting what would happen as different ingredients was added to the mixture. They then used the playdough to create cupcakes to send to the Queen, as a special birthday treat.
Preschool wrote the Queen lovely letters and drew portraits of we think she looks like, We spoke about what the Queen does and when we saw pictures of where she lived, we thought it was like a "Superhero's house" and wondered if it had a slide inside. What do you think?
