Toddlers played a ‘Matching the Chinese Numbers’ game by mixing cornflour, water, and red food colouring to create their gloop. The staff then hid Chinese numbers throughout and the children had to find matching numbers using chopsticks! Very creative and very messy but enjoyed thoroughly by all the children and staff that took part.
They also made lanterns for one of the display boards in the nursery. By using scissors to cut the strips out to create the lantern effect then using pencils and chalk to give them some colour!
The lanterns were accompanied by chopstick painting! The children tried their hardest at some Chinese number writing by using Red, Gold and green paint and their chopsticks as brushes!
