On Friday 27th January we held our festive Chinese new year celebrations. We had delicious home cooked Chinese food made by our wonderful chef Maureen and made decorations for our rooms along with arts and crafts throughout the day.
We tried Prawn crackers and spring rolls for a starter, we had sweet and sour chicken and noodles and fortune cookies after. The children enjoyed trying new foods, and textures.
Class 2 also made some fantastic masks to wear during the celebrations, we practised our glueing and sticking collage skills.
Overall, the day was very exciting, trying new things and learning what other cultures do.
