5th December 2017
Today the preschool children have started getting into the festive spirit by taking part in a number of Christmas activities. They have been enjoying the arctic animals activity with real ice and fake snow - this has been a wonderful sensory activity which has engaged all of the children as they eagerly explore the melting ice! The children have also been looking at pictures of arctic animals and thinking about what it is like to live somewhere so cold!
We have also been writing letters to Father Christmas which we are posting in our special preschool postbox that the children helped to make. Every night Santa's elves visit the nursery to collect the letters so we can be sure that they reach Father Christmas in time!
Finally we have been exploring all things festive and sparkly in our Christmas activity tuff spot. The children have been using their senses to explore the different sights, sound, smells, and feels of Christmas. The children especially enjoy playing with the sparkly tinsel and the jingle bells!
We have had so much fun with all of our Christmas activities already and we are very excited for the rest that are yet to come! Watch this space on the website for more news, updates, and most importantly photographs of all the wonderful festive activities we will be doing before Christmas!
