The children have been creating their own collages today using lots of different materials.

The older children have been practising their cutting skills with scissors to create their cut out pieces. The younger children have also enjoyed tearing and scrunching their tissue paper pieces.

This also allowed us to talk about different textures and colours with the different materials we used, such as tissue paper, sand, card, glue and bubble wrap etc.

We also took part in group collages, taking turns with our peers to place different pieces down and creating a class collage.

"It was lovely to see the children all working together with our group collage. They were able to share their materials and tools and took great pride in their creations. Once we had finished our collage, we talked about the colours we could see and also had practise using our scissors safely" ~ Kerry Parker - 2-3's Room Manager
