The babies have been exploring using their new construction and mathematical toys. The children began to balance the sensory blocks on top of one another.

The staff have also provided new resources such as egg cups, cotton reels and spools to encourage the babies to begin to balance everyday items. This is also part of the heuristic play which we are currently implementing in our baby room. This type of play encourages children to use everyday objects in different ways. By handling and exploring everyday items to support babies with beginning to make their own choices and beginning to understand the world around them.

Take a look at what different activities we get up at Busy Bees.
