To celebrate Enid Blyton's birthday, the children in our Under 2's unit went on an outing to the local Brookmill Park with Assistant Manager Kirsty, Qualified Early Years Educator Kubra and Apprentice Laura.
We travelled safely in double buggies and older children by foot using wrist links and drank lots of water and wore sun cream and hats too to ensure we stayed safe in the sunshine.
We developed our vocabulary by naming transport vehicles like train, truck, lorry, bike and bus and made sounds like 'beep beep'. We also saw ducks at the pond in the park and said 'quack quack'. These opportunities relate to the Communication and Language area of the Early Years Foundation Stage.
We developed a range of physical skills in the park playing on the swings, slide and see-saw!
Amongst the trees we searched for sticks to bring back to nursery and then used them to paint with!
We are looking forward to our next trip!
