To kick start our amazing Enrolment Week the children have been learning all about the country Mexico. Our oldest children in Pre-School have been learning all about the Ring of Fire that includes a rather large volcano. They had lots of fun making their own volcanos using lemons and baking soda. The children worked collaboratively to make a large erupting volcano. Abdallah was amazed by what happended when he dropped a Mento in the middle of the volcano which was hiding a bottle of coke. He was still excited at the end of the day, telling every parent that walked in the room "We made a big crash with the volcano. Rocks, big rocks."

The children in our Toddler Room made chocolate Rice Krispie cakes as they learnt that the Mexicans introduced chocolate to the rest of the world.

The children in the Baby Room made beautiful butterfly pictures using green, white and red paint, the colours of the Mexican flag. Monarch butterflies migrtate to Mexico every Autumn.
