Exploring with our creativity.
Today our Pre-School children have been experimenting with different methods of painting using a potato to make their own little Frosty the snowman.
We looked at the mathematical concepts included within this activity for the children to look at ordering by size and categorising items in accordance to their properties.
The children used white paint to create their snowmen using items such as card, googly eyes and tissue paper to make their desired effects. The children then drew on some arms and legs if wanted using their fine motor skills (mark making using a dominant hand and practicing their Tri-Pod grip).
Take a look at our creations.
