Fun packed two weeks at Busy Bees

All children took part in joining in with Children in Need on the 17 th November by dressing up in Pyjamas and taking part in lots of fun Pudsey themed activities; making spotty biscuits, yellow scented play dough.

Watch out for some pesky little elves who are going home with all the children. Who knows what escapades they will get up to when you take them home. 

In the baby room the children have been exploring their new sensory wall, feelings all the different textures. The children have been exploring lots of small world play and learning lots of new animal sounds, names. The children have also been exploring heuristic play, having lots of fun meeting new friends at our baby group, where we have done bubble play, Baby Yoga, finger painting dancing. 

In the Tweenies room the children have been exploring lots of different types of sensory play. This has included flour play with tools, ice cube play, leaf play, cereal sand and water. The staff have been using puppets to explore Babble to chatter activities and looking at early maths with the cars and tubes. 

In Pre-school one the children have been using their imagination in our story corner, using props to explore how stories are structures and using props to start to explore making their own stories. The children have been developing their understanding of different types of construction by exploring building different types of structures using blocks and boxes. 

In Pre-school two children have been looking after their snails Beauty and the Beast. They have been using them to explore maths by measuring the snails and beginning to estimate. The children have been exploring patterns and sequencing using the pegs and boards. They have been exploring their letter (C), Number (5) through various activities including number and letter hunts.
