Garden Detectives

The Sea Horse Room were very excited when they found a birds nest in the garden, this sparked lots of interest in what may be living in the garden.

The children talked with the staff about what the nest was made of and then they went on a hunt around the garden looking for materials that they could use to create their own nests. Some of the children even made their own birds to sit in the nests using feathers and coloured paper.

The children used the magnifying glasses and binoculars to look up into the trees to see if there were anymore nests in the trees and what else they could see. The children love being garden detectives and have been using the bug catchers to take a closer look at the tiny creatures in our garden.
