Healthy Me Wednesday
HEALTHY ME WEDNESDAY
Here at Busy Bees Bury St Edmunds, we have had a fantastic Day 3 of Enrolment Week, with a day all about being Healthy.
The children have all been very busy with healthy themed activities.
Our Pre-School and Toddler Children have enjoyed showing off their Wake and Shake skills to some new children who visited the Nursery this morning. After this, they sat down as a group to discuss how exercise can keep us healthy.
The Pre-School Children then enjoyed a cutting and sticking activity, making their own dinner plates filled with yummy fruits and vegetables of their choice.
Our younger children in our Baby Rooms enjoyed exploring various fruits and vegetables - from Asparagus to Aubergine. Mason really enjoyed exploring the Plum - he actually ate it bless him. Eddie also got really involved in the activity and enjoyed a yummy tomato : )
Our fabulous Catering Team provided the children with a very healthy and yummy homemade Salmon Stirfry to lunch. They talked to the children about the ingredients. Harrison thoroughly enjoyed his and had fun sucking the noodles up into his mouth.
The Pre-School children then enjoyed a lovely story with Daizy, called "Oliver's Vegetables". The children were encouraged to get involved with the story and join in with familiar phrases.
Finally, the children helped to make their own Carrot, Parsnip and Cheese Scones . They were able to roll out their mixture and use a cutter to make their own scone, which Rebecca and Liz will bake in the oven for Tea Time.
As you can see, we have all had a fun filled and busy day!
Keep an eye out for pictures tomorrow of our Thrill Seeking Thursday.
