Abi and the team have created an exciting tuff spot tray today!
They created a rainbow of colours using washable paint and the children used their hands and tools to mix the paint to mix them together to see what colours they could make.
This encouraged the children to talk about the changes of colours; how objects change and the effects that their movements have on the marks they make. This is a starting point to encouraging children to use their imagination and begin in talk about the world around them. Using this activity promotes various areas of learning including Communication and Language as well as Expressive Arts and Design. These activities are also used in our Babble to Chatter enhancement which supports children with their communication and language skills; encouraging them to begin to talk and put sounds together.
