We have had a great time over the past week at the nursery taking part in lots of great activities.
The babies had great fun painting using the prints of the small world animals, getting messy during jelly play and planting seeds which we will watch grow over the coming weeks. In the toddler room we enjoyed celebrating Roald Dahl day taking inspiration from the story 'Charlie and the chocolate factory' and the children made their own chocolate bars to take home. The toddlers also talked about Autumn, thinking about the weather change, Autumn colours, leaves and other things which fall from the trees at this time of year. Some apples were collected from a tree which we used to do apple printing. The pre school room have been focusing on nurturing mathematics by playing with the small world vehicles, placing numbers on them, likewise creating parking spaces with numbers for the children to try and match up. There has also been a lot of activities based around shape space and measure which has enhanced the children's learning whilst having lots of fun.
