Mark making madness!

Here at Long Eaton we have been exploring the different marks we can make using a range of different resources.

We have been using our tiny fingers to makes lots of different marks in the paint, the babies loved the sensory feel of the paint on their fingers and were really engaged in exploring the paint on their little hands and pressing the paint onto the tough tray creating our work of art.

First Steps have been using the trucks and cars in the sand making lots of big and small track marks. The children also were interested in following the track marks with their fingers and created wiggly lines, hand prints and dots.

Toddlers and Pre-school have been exploring the environment looking for different tools we could use to make mark,we used sticks and leaves and even printed with pebbles which we found in the garden. This activity encouraged the children to use their imagination to create some fantastic masterpieces.
