The children in nursery participated in a variety of activities all week to celebrate the new year and to capture 'moments that mean more.' There were a number of themes across the week , including 'All About Me', 'Take Care Tuesday', 'Healthy Me', 'Thrill Seeking Thursday' and 'Keep Fit Friday.'
On Monday, the children took part in different activities that focused on themselves, their family and home life. They were encouraged to share special photos of their families and the older children enjoyed rebuilding models of their homes using various construction materials.
On Tuesday, the children learned about different people who help us, looking at books and engaging in role play to promote how we look after each other and ourselves.
On Wednesday, the younger children made fruit kebabs and grew cress and the older children brought their toothbrushes to nursery to learn all about the importance of being healthy.
On Thursday, the children brought in various toys, books and holiday photos for show and tell about some of their favourite things.
Finally on Friday, the children took part in a variety of 'keep fit' activities, including Wake and Shake, obstacle courses and Boogie Babies.
