World Book Day is a celebration! It’s a celebration of authors, illustrators, books and (most importantly) it’s a celebration of reading. In fact, it’s the biggest celebration of its kind, designated by UNESCO as a worldwide celebration of books and reading, and marked in over 100 countries all over the world.

The children have had a lovely day celebrating World Book Day, they have come to nursery dressed as their favourite characters ready for a fun filled day of story telling.

The nursery was filled with pirates, princesses and super heroes sharing their favourites stories from home.

Reading aloud to your baby is a wonderful shared activity you can continue for years to come — and it's an important form of stimulation teaching a baby about communication. Reading introduces concepts such as numbers, letters, colours, and shapes in a fun way. builds listening, memory, and vocabulary skills.
