Here are Nursery Events in March:
1st March World Book Day!:Today we will be taking part in World Book Day here at St Albans Nursery & Montessori Pre-school The children and staff are invited to come dressed in their favourite book character costume, we will have a fun filled day of story telling and activities, and it’s a day you won’t want to miss!
2 th March Holi 'Festival of Love'We are celebrating Holi. This is a Hindu celebration known as the 'Festival Of Love' or 'Colour'. The celebration is to celebrate the beginning of Spring as well as the triumph of Good over Evil. It is celebrated by the use of lots of colour to cover each other. It is a celebration of Krishna and Radha's love.At nursery we are celebrating by using lots of different colours to make pictures, patterns and a spring art board.
7th March Fire Bridget will be visiting our nursery To day at 10.30 am local fire fighters will be visiting our nursery to talk to the children about fire safety and they let the children explore the fire engine. The children will have a lovely time .
9th March Mothers Day Afternoon Tea Today all the children from babies to pre school will be taking part in lots of fun creative activities to make some lovely cards and treats for the very special mum or grandma!
The children will be enjoying getting messy as they paint and creative as the bake.Also we will be holding a mothers day Afternoon Tea at the St Albans Nursery and Montessori Pre-School. Our Tea will begin at 3.30pm where mums, grand mum will be able to enjoy a spread of cakes and tea for an afternoon.
12th March British Science Week! We will be celebrating British Science Week here at St Albans Nursery and Montessori Pre-School,the children will be carrying out a range of amazing activities such as the Skittles investigation and the erupting volcano, mixing colours, learn about animals and plants, insects life cycles, ice, creating bubble and lots of other experiments.
16th March St Patrick's Day The children at the nursery are really looking forward to a green st patricks day.we will be having a green party day with all children dressing in their finest green clothes and decorate Shamrocks and learning more about the Irish Culture. We will be asking for £1 donation for our this year charity Bereavement
29th March Easter Egg Hunt & Easter Hat Competition! Today here at Busy Bees St Alban Hatfield Road we will be hosting our annual Easter Egg & Easter Hat competition.
We will be inviting the children to come along to nursery today with their Easter hat creations, that they have made with their families, we can’t wait to see how creative the families can be. The competition winner will be chosen by the children within Swans who will select their favourite hat and the votes will be added up.
In the afternoon the children will be able to join in with an Easter egg hunt around the nursery garden (we hope the weather is good to us), if not we will have an inside Easter Egg hunt. The children will all have great fun looking for the eggs, I wonder where they will get hidden and who will find the most?
