As a company we have recently introduced a teaching and learning plan within the rooms which the way of planning for the children's individual needs and interests and providing them with some exciting and stimulating activities throughout the day as well as helping them meet their next development milestones.
We also thrive at the nursery to have a great parent partnership and try and involve the children's home life with nursery life as much as we can. All the children within the nursery have home learning books which they can take home as often as possible to inform the key person about what they do when they are not attending nursery, the home learning book can have a range of photo's of the children's activities or a simple write up of what they have been doing.
Within our Goslings room (1 year to 18 months) both the staff and children have enjoyed sharing their experiences and our dedicated staff team within this room have produced some amazing extensions to the environment from what the children have done at home. This week the staff and children have been making a garden centre for them to play complete with Santa's grotto and his elves. The home learning books that have been returned during this week have all been linked to going to the garden centre and seeing all the festive gifts and decorations.
The children really enjoyed this activity and had some great fun playing with the range of resources and getting in to the Christmas spirit, but the extension to the environment doesn't stop there why not ask the Goslings team to show you their amazing folder which has a range of activities that they have made based on what the children have done whilst being at home.
