Our Pre-School children enjoy a very wet and windy walk on the wildside today to the local woods.
Over the last couple of weeks they have been learning all about minibeasts and have observed lots of changes and identified and classified their creepy crawlies in many ways.
Some of the older children told Abbi they wanted to keep all the minibeasts they found in the garden, so together they researched and designed their very own Bug Hotel. The children then took their lists to the woods and collected all the natural resources they needed for their hotel.
The children had to think carefully about the shape, size and number of each item they required and had to work collaboratively to construct the Bug Hotel.
