Premier Education at Busy Bees at St Matthews

19th July 2017.

The children at the Burntwood nursery had a fabulous time when Premier Education visited our nursery.

Premier Education are a group who provide stimulating activities for pre-school and nursery age children, which encourages our little ones to be more active.

There were two sections to the session provided, the first a sports section delivered by Sam and then a performing arts session run by Fran.

Sam took a small group of children into the nursery garden to show the children some basic football techniques.

The children were encouraged to kick balls to a partner for a while and then played "catch" with Sam.  Cones were set out around the garden so that the children could practise kicking a ball between two cones.  They were also shown how to bounce a ball on their knee before kicking it across the garden and some children could do this very well!

In the performing arts section of the workshop the children, led by Fran, played out the well known story of "Goldilocks and the Three Bears".  Fran told the story whilst the children had to pretend to be various things from the story.  As a group they all pretended to be a bear, a chair and table as well as acting out going through the door, eating the porridge and going up the stairs to the bedroom.

The children all loved these activities and had great fun.

Mason's favourite part was pretending to "climb up the stairs" whilst Connor loved "being the bear"!

A big thank you to Sam and Fran for visiting us!
