Remembrance is part of modern British life, culture and heritage and our poppy is the symbol of Remembrance and hope.
It marks the day World War One ended, at 11am on the 11th day of the 11th month, back in 1918. A two minute silence will held at 11am to remember the people who fought in the war.
The Nursery tried to follow the minute silence as much as the children would allow. The children made poppy pictures and wore red. The children in the over 2 years had discussions at circle time about why we wear poppies and the reasons why.
