Today, the children went on their winter trip to the Butterly Railway Station in Ripley. They arrived at the station and took their seat on the steam train with complimentary colouring books with colouring pencils of Thomas the Tank Engine and his friends. One at a time they each got to meet Santa to talk about how well behaved they have all been this year and what they would like to be given. Santa gave them all a present each to have and chocolates to put on their Christmas tree at home (although, i am pretty sure none of the chocolates made it home). After the train ride and speaking to Santa, the children were allowed to watch a puppet show of Little Red Riding Hood. The children all enjoyed it and were so excited to shout, 'He's behind you.' and be involved in the story.
We had some very sleepy children on the coach home, but a lovely trip was had by all.
