Week commencing 13th March 2017
Children and staff here at nursery have thoroughly enjoyed doing lots of science activities to celebrate British science week.
Children have been exploring in ice, holding discussions about the process of water in really cold environments will freeze to make ice and then when the ice is bought into warmer temperatures it will then melt back into water. Children have also been discussing the properties of this process going from a liquid to a solid and back to a liquid. They have explored the ice in different ways, adding objects and colours.
The children have also enjoyed experimenting with colours, using different colours to mix together to see what other colours they can make.
The pre school children have also planted some herb seeds for our indoor kitchen garden. They been looking at what helps them to grow, and ensuring they are watered daily.
British Science Week (BSW) is a ten-day programme of science, technology, engineering and maths events and activities across the UK for people of all ages.
