With the Beast from the East upon us, we decided to make the best of the snowy conditions and explore the outdoors! The children (and staff) donned their winter warmers and wellies and went out into the garden to enjoy the snow.
The Toddler and Pre-School children used makeshift sleds on the hill in the toddler garden, and then made a mini snowman! The children dressed it in the coolest scarf/hat/sunglasses combo and left it chilling in the garden!
The Under 2's found it a little too chilly, so brought the outdoors, indoors! They filled a tray with snow and ice, adding blocks and arctic animals for the children to explore. The children loved feeling the different textures and the coldness of the snow, while watching the snow flurries drifting past the windows.
