During wake up Wednesday here at Nottingham University the children took part in an exciting fun dance session where they moved to the the beat of the music. They also started the day by taking part in the wake and shake dance. This engages children as they discover a series of easy to learn dance movements carried out to lively music with their peers, written and recorded especially for Busy Bees. Extensive research has shown that our brain works best when supplied with oxygen and endorphins, both of which are produced through exercise. After the 'Wake and Shake' session, children will feel re-energised and ready to learn, adopting a positive approach to the day. The children also took part in a cooking session where they made healthy snack bars.
