What have we been up to this week?
This week in bluebells we have spent lots of time out in the garden having a splash about in the water, finding bugs with the microscopes and rolling balls down the ramps. For stay and play this week the theme was exploring water. We put the boats in the water tray with blue paint and silver and blue glitter.
This week we have been exploring different types of messy play using cars in gloop, water play and mixing different textures in paint. The children have been great builders this week and exploring construction activities in the role play area, construction area, sand area and outdoors. The children have continued to show a real interest in the Bear Hunt story, acting it out in their role play outdoors ‘’chasing after the bear’’ and ‘’hiding’’ from the bear playing hide and seek.
The letter of the week this week is K for Keys. We have been looking at different types of keys and drawing our own.
We have had a very messy week this week. We have been planting seeds, looking at spring flowers (drawing and painting our own). We also had a great time using medicine syringes to do paint squirting in the garden.
We have been using the big blocks to create airplanes, role playing and creating stories.
