On the 4th July 2017 we held Wimbledon day and tried our hand at some races and sports in the garden.
Our Butterflies have been using the balls in the garden to learn throwing and catching skills. They also had mini races together!
Caterpillars enjoyed an egg and spoon race and learnt about balance and pace as they tried to make it to the end of the line against their friends. They also had a maze in the garden and experimented in pairs with different ways of moving around the course i.e. hopping and jumping.
Pre-school have been colouring tennis rackets and tennis balls and have completed an exercise programme outside with Gina. They also had a track and completed running races against their friends. The children also learnt hopscotch together and perfected their counting and number recognition skills.
Looking forward to the next event!
