Children at Busy Bees nursery in Chingford dressed up as their favourite characters and relived some of their favourite stories from around the world with their friends to celebrate World Book Day.
The nursery was filled with pirates, princesses and superheroes for this annual, national event. Nursery staff read the popular Hungary Caterpillar and the Gruffalo to some of the younger children, whilst others immersed themselves (with their friends and key workers!) in their favourite tales.
Nursery manager Natalie said: “A love of reading can last a lifetime so nurturing a love of books at an early age is so important. The children love story time and it’s one of their favourite daily activities here at nursery. So they obviously enjoy this event so much, and every year the staff are delighted to watch as our new little book worms discover the magic of imagination and storytelling.”
