The children of Nottingham Daybrook have been celebrating World Book Day Today!
The children took part by dressing up in their favourite outfits, looking at their favourite books; Toddlers had a sensory tough spot following the theme of The Gruffalo involving mud; grass and the gruffalo characters hiding throughout the tray.
The children spoke about their favourite stories, they repeated lines from the stories, and even imitated the actions they had seen from the book. Stories are a vital part of communication and language and this will support their speech; understanding and listening skills. Why not take a look at our Babble to Chatter enhancement to show how we support communication and language in our nursery.
