Butter 30 g
Brown Sugar 35 g
Treacle ½ tbsp
Plan Flour 45 g
Baking Powder ¼ tsp
Ginger tsp ½
Milk 30 ml
Egg ½


  • Grease and line cake tin
  • Melt butter, sugar and treacle over a low heat. Leave to one side to cool
  • Mix flour Bicarbonate of soda, baking powder and ginger
  • Stir in the milk, egg and melted mix
  • Pour into prepared tin
  • Bake gas 3 for 30/35 minutes, check with a knife if it is cooked(this should be clean when removed from the gingerbread)
  • Allow to cool on a wire rack
