There's never a boring day at our Busy Bees The Rye - only days packed with fun, learning and excitement!

Recently refurbished and located near the town centre, our day nursery in High Wycombe provides a safe environment in which children can make the most of their potential during those important early years. It features separate childcare rooms for each age range. We currently provide childcare in High Wycombe for babies, toddlers, and preschool children.

These big, light rooms are packed with educational toys and activities designed to engage curious little explorers. From roleplay kitchens to shape sorters to farmyard animal toys - there's always lots to keep them having fun as they learn about the world around them.

We also have access to a large outdoor space. Here, the children can put their energy to good use - whether it's at the water tables or racing around our mini-course on trikes and ride-on cars. As we said, it's never boring at Busy Bees in High Wycombe!

Our nursery team follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) education framework - to give your child the best start in life.Our dedicated Parent Room provides the perfect spot for you to catch up with your child's key worker, allowing you to discuss their development and the key milestones they’re meeting. And you'll also be kept updated with your little one's latest milestones via our free UP and ParentZone apps.

Our Interactive Smart Board is used daily to bring learning to life and provides children with a hands-on approach with technology.

Funded Childcare
We offer government funded places for children aged 3 to 4 years, please speak to the Centre Director for more information.

Teacher
We have a fully qualified Teacher in our pre-school room who delivers exciting learning opportunities, whilst ensuring statutory and legal welfare requirements are met for every child.

Foundation Class
The foundation class nurtures each child's natural curiosity within a structured framework providing pre-school children with an early introduction to school life.

ParentZone
We keep families informed through ParentZone, an online learning journal platform, which can be accessed via a smartphone app.

UP
Exclusive to Busy Bees, UP is a learning and development app used by educators in our nursery and parents at home. Search ‘UP by Busy Bees’ on the app store to find out more.

We offer online booking for extra ad-hoc sessions at this nursery with Pebble.

Food at Busy Bees at The Rye

At Busy Bees, we understand the importance of promoting healthy eating habits early on in life. That’s why we ensure all the food and drink we serve is nutritionally balanced.

During your child’s typical day at our High Wycombe nursery, they’ll enjoy regular meals and refreshments from our NHS Startwell-accredited menu.

There’s nothing extra to pay for this – it’s all included in your nursery fees. Everything is freshly prepared on the day by our talented on-site nursery chef. And if your child has any specific dietary requirements, don’t worry – we can account for their needs. Speak to your Centre Director for more information.

Fresh fruit with a selection of cereal or porridge.

Morning Snack

Fresh fruit with wholemeal toast or baked goods. Served with a cup of milk or water.

Lunch

Salmon fish fingers or veggie croquette, with mushy peas and roast or boiled potatoes. Greek yoghurt and berry cake for dessert.

Afternoon Snack

Fresh fruit or vegetable sticks. Served with a cup of milk or water.

Early Evening Snack

Sour cream and chive dip with vegetable sticks to start. Main of English muffin topped with homemade baked beans and cheese. Served with a cup of water.

Preparing for School

In order to best prepare the children for the next big chapter of their lives, Busy Bees do all that they can to support and celebrate the transition. Busy Bees Nursery High Wycombe Location

We’re conveniently positioned right near the heart of High Wycombe’s town centre – on Abbey Way (A40). 

It’s really easy to reach our Wycombe nursery via car. And you’ll have plenty of nearby options if you’re coming via public transport. Easton Street (Stop E) bus stop on the 655 route is less than a five-minute walk away, as is the Town Hall (Stop T) bus stop, which is served by 8 P&R Cressex Connect, 101 Chiltern Hundreds, 814 and X74 buses. High Wycombe railway station is just a 10-minute walk away too. It sits on the Chiltern Main Line – running between Beaconsfield and Saunderton.

When you arrive, you’ll find we have plenty of on-site parking. So, you can drop off and pick up – without having to worry about the busy nearby road. We also have a secure buggy store, where you can leave your prams and pushchairs.
