Our Livingston nursery offers a warm and welcoming environment for both parents and children. We have a huge variety of exciting resources for children to discover. Whether your child enjoys reading, painting, role play, or exploring outside, there is something for everyone at our West Lothian nursery.  

At Busy Bees, we understand that choosing the right nursery for your child is key, and that you shouldn’t miss out on any key developments or milestones while they are in our care. It is for this reason specific reason that we have our Parent Zone app, where your child’s key worker will upload updates on day-to-day activities as well as any important events.  

Our highly trained team of nursery staff create and select exciting resources for the children at Busy Bees Livingston, to encourage learning and development in a fun and stimulating way.

All meals, drinks and snacks are prepared on-site by our chef and NHS accredited.

Outdoor Facilities
Our outdoor environment offers space to explore and take safe risks with the support of our team, aiding child development.

Sensory Room
Our Sensory Room is a relaxing space providing a unique sensory experience with activities and equipment to explore, engaging and stimulating children’s senses.

Parent Room
Our parent room is a dedicated safe space for us to get to know your family and you to speak in confidence with our nursery team about your child's nursery life.

Smart Board
Our Interactive Smart Board is used daily to bring learning to life and provides children with a hands-on approach with technology.

Funded Childcare
We offer government funded places for children aged 3 to 4 years, please speak to the Centre Director for more information.

Teacher
We have a fully qualified Teacher in our pre-school room who delivers exciting learning opportunities, whilst ensuring statutory and legal welfare requirements are met for every child.

Foundation Class
The foundation class nurtures each child's natural curiosity within a structured framework providing pre-school children with an early introduction to school life.

ParentZone
We keep families informed through ParentZone, an online learning journal platform, which can be accessed via a smartphone app.

UP
Exclusive to Busy Bees, UP is a learning and development app used by educators in our nursery and parents at home. Search ‘UP by Busy Bees’ on the app store to find out more.

Book Extra Sessions Online
We offer online booking for extra ad-hoc sessions at this nursery with Pebble.

Food at Busy Bees Livingston Village

The fees you pay are inclusive of all meals, drinks, and snacks, which are prepared on- site by our nursery chef. We understand it can sometimes be tricky to get little ones eating the right food, and that a healthy, balanced diet is crucial for their overall development. Our talented nursery chef and kitchen team cleverly ensure little tummies are full of all the right foods by changing menus regularly and making fun and enjoyable meals.  

If your child has any specific dietary requirements or allergies, please contact the Centre Director who will be happy to discuss other safe and tasty options.  

Get a taste of what your child might eat while at our Livingston nursery:  

Breakfast

Seasonal fresh fruit with a selection of cereal or porridge. 

Morning Snack 

Seasonal fresh fruit, wholemeal toast or other baked good, with a drink of either milk or water. 

Lunch

Cheese and apple sticks, followed by fish pie or mixed bean pie served with cauliflower and peas, with a drink of water. 

Afternoon Snack

Seasonal fresh fruit or vegetable sticks, with a drink of either milk or water. 

Early Evening Snack

Butternut squash and sweet potato soup with brown bread triangles, followed by yoghurt and fruit, with a drink of water.

Our Fees

We believe in an open and transparent approach to nursery fees. Did you know Busy Bees also offers Funded Early Learning & Childcare for up for 1140 hours for all 3 and 4 year olds to help support parents with the cost of childcare? Preparing for School

In order to best prepare the children for the next big chapter of their lives, Busy Bees do all that they can to support and celebrate the transition. All of the planned activities and experiences which take place within our Busy Bees Nursery in Livingston are designed to provide a foundation of skills that will help them grow in becoming confident and capable learners.
