Funded Childcare
We offer government funded places for children aged 3 to 4 years, please speak to the Centre Director for more information.

We have a fully qualified Teacher in our pre-school room who delivers exciting learning opportunities, whilst ensuring statutory and legal welfare requirements are met for every child.

Foundation Class
The foundation class nurtures each child's natural curiosity within a structured framework providing pre-school children with an early introduction to school life.

ParentZone
We keep families informed through ParentZone, an online learning journal platform, which can be accessed via a smartphone app.

UP
Exclusive to Busy Bees, UP is a learning and development app used by educators in our nursery and parents at home. Search ‘UP by Busy Bees’ on the app store to find out more.

We offer online booking for extra ad-hoc sessions at this nursery with Pebble.

Food at Busy Bees at Wakefield

At our Wakefield nursery, we want to do everything in our power to make parents’ lives easier. For this reason, fees include all meals, drinks, and snacks, which are prepared on-site by our nursery chef.  

We also know how tricky it can be to get kids to eat healthy food to support strong growth and development. This is why our menus include all key food groups, presented in a fun and interesting way for little ones to enjoy!

Get a taste of what you can expect your child to eat:  

Breakfast 

Fresh fruit with a selection of cereal of porridge.   

Morning Snack 

Fresh fruit with wholemeal toast or baked goods, with a drink of milk or water.  

Lunch 

Cheesy garlic bread followed by pork or lentil bolognaise, with a drink of water.   

Afternoon Snack 

Fresh fruit or vegetable sticks with a drink of milk or water.  

Early Evening Snack 

Salmon crunch wrap or egg crunch wrap with carrot sticks, followed by fresh fruit salad with vanilla or natural yoghurt for dessert, with a drink of water.

Our Fees

We believe in an open and transparent approach to nursery fees. Click the button below for weekly, daily, and session rates for our exceptional childcare.

Did you know Busy Bees also offers government-funded childcare? In order to best prepare the children for the next big chapter of their lives, Busy Bees do all that they can to support and celebrate the transition. All of the planned activities and experiences which take place within our Busy Bees Nursery in Wakefield are designed to provide a foundation of skills that will help them grow in becoming confident and capable learners.

"It's usually very good although in the recent months of pandemic I felt services were not amazing like usual. Shortage of staff, app not updated, so some days I am not sure if my son had eaten unless I ask. Staff that we made bonds with leaving one after another in short space of time, which makes parent worry what's the reasons behind it and if the level of care will be the same with all the changes. I feel that my child is in a good care but not excellent."
